Biodiversity provides vital “ecosystem services”.

Finns have a relationship with nature that is as diverse as nature itself. Yet biodiversity is under threat: according to the latest endangered species report one out of every nine species in Finland is already endangered. Half of Finland’s habitats are endangered.

Biodiversity provides vital “ecosystem services” for everyone. Finns have taken their love of nature to help revitalise, restore and manage ecosystems. In recent years an increasing number of Finnish organisations have become interested in how they can safeguard biodiversity, including companies in the construction and food industries.
